Decrypt my memories

Turn a downloaded copy of your memories back into readable Markdown files. This works without your OwnMemory server, for example if you deleted it.

1. Download your OwnMemory folder

In Google Drive, right-click the OwnMemory folder and choose Download. Google gives you a zip file.

If your server still works, it's easier to open its /memories page and click Download all.

2. Decrypt it here

Your download won't be encrypted. Anyone who opens these files can read your memories. Keep them somewhere private, don't email or share them, and delete them when you're done.

Everything happens on this page. Your files, passphrase and memories never leave your device: this page is not allowed to send anything over the network, and your browser enforces that.
